The Arts and Science Center for Southeast Arkansas holds "Live at Five" monthly, an event featuring some prime local talent. The cabaret atmosphere is informal and friendly. June 6, Milt Jackson, a professor of music at UAPB and a world-class guitarist held forth with a performance second to none anywhere. His talent with the guitar coupled with his knowledge of music is amazing. Those who attended heard Milt and his axe create sound not expected in LA (Lower Arkansas).

This Milt Jackson, shares the name with the late, legendary jazz vibraphonist, Milt Jackson. This Milt says the names are a coincidence and there is no kin. It is my observation that the kinship is talent. Seems that any musician name Milt Jackson is world class is several cuts above the rest.
