The Black Pilots of American Annual Fly-in
at Grider Field in Pine Bluff, Arkansas
Black Pilots of America members from across the nation gather at Grider Field in Pine Bluff, Arkanas every year on Memorial Day Weekend for their annual fly-in, Operation Sky Hook. Many members fly their planes to the meeting, while others drive. Activities include friendly competition among pilot members and providing airplane rides for local children. This album shows Operation Skyhook pictures of a few of the happy passengers and pilots. Some local pilots volunteer their time and airplanes to make sure every child who wants a ride gets one. The Black Pilots of America headquarters is at Grider Field.
