Background replacement, big tree
In Cleveland County, Arkansas, I found one of the biggest Catalpa trees I had ever seen. I shot a lot of pictures but never seemed to achieve what I wanted between the wide swings of light in the scene. Back at home, the fix was in.
In this case, I developed a series of layer masks and replaced the background with some second and third permutations of the original. I also "re-exposed" the cabin and bush with layer masks. I also put some minor highlights in the big tree.
